How to: Removal of Ingrown Hairs
Hey Guys, What are ya'll thoughts on ingrown hairs? What are some techniques you use to remove them?
In the past I have suffered from ingrown hairs constantly. I never knew what was the correct technique to remove them. So, today I will be giving you some tips I've learned through the years to remove ingrown hairs that are inexpensive.
Let's Get Started!!!
What are ingrown hairs?
An ingrown hair occurrs when a shaved, waxed or tweezed hair grows into the skin. Common areas in which ingrown hair occur are the face and neck, legs, chest, armpits and pubic areas ( the worst area). Ingrown hairs can cause pain, inflammation and tiny bumps in the area in which the hair was removed.
Ingrown hair frequently occurs in persons with curly and course hair, which falls directly in my court. Curly hair tends to bend back and re-enter the skin, especially after shaving or waxing.Prevention of Ingrown Hairs
To prevent ingrown hairs the obvious option will be to avoid shaving and waxing... But we know that will never be an option in this lifetime, no sir.
Hence, some practices are:
1. Washing your skin with warm water and mild facial cleanser before shaving /waxing.
2. Shaving in the direction of hair growth.
3. Use of an electric razer.
4. Chemical hair removal/ laser hair removal (too expensive giiirl😓).
Tips for Removal of Ingrown Hairs
1. Using a warm compression on the area.
2. Gently pull out the hair with a tweezers when the hair emerges to the surface.
3. Moisterize the area to remove dead skin cells.
My Top Picks
My favourite way to remove ingrown hairs is with Tend Skin ($50-$70TTD).
But, recently I was introduced to an alternative cheaper method which is applying Soft Candle ($1- $10TTD). I am sure that everyone has used soft candle at least once in their life. It is an old remedy for the reduction of boils and swelling, its helps ease the pain from inflammation accumulated. It is literally the bomb.com.
Just try it, you will see results.
